BOOKING DETAILS:

Please make sure to write your booking details down somewhere safe. If your plans have changed and you need to cancel or amend your booking, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your place to someone else.

Got a gift voucher? Make sure to bring it with you when you visit. If you think you might forget, take a picture of it on your phone as a backup.

What to wear:

It’s best to choose an outfit that you can pop in the washing machine, you aren’t likely to get very dirty, perhaps a splash of paint or a little bit of pottery dust at worst, however knowing it can go in the wash afterwards is good for peace of mind.

You’re very welcome to bring your own apron if you’d like to! We have a limited number of aprons available, but if we’re low on aprons priority will be given to people in our taster throwing sessions.


Inspiration:

Before you start painting we’ll always offer you a detailed pottery painting demonstration to make sure you feel confident and know where all the materials are in the studio - if you’ve done LOADS of pottery painting let us know and we’ll do a quick recap / quiz / leave you be!

Feel free to take a look at our Instagram and Pinterest before you visit to get your creative juices flowing. Every piece you see on our instagram was painted by people (just like you) visiting our studio. If you’d like to learn more about pottery painting techniques before your visit please have a look here.

You have up to 2hrs to paint your pottery. If you run out of time you can take your piece home and book another day to continue painting (continuation fee = £5pp week days / £10pp weekends).

Parking:

There are a limited number of free parking spaces in front of the shop, and we’re surrounded by permitted parking, that is mostly free between 9am - 5pm but please do check the signs! Our free parking is for customers only. Anyone who chooses to use our free parking should remove their car at the end of the session.

It is agreed in our lease that no one is to park in the free parking after 5pm and we ask that you kindly help keep us out of trouble by abiding by this.

Timings:

Your painting session will last 2 hours, please arrive on time!

If you arrive early, please wait in your car / outside the studio / take a walk around our neighbour (and BFF’s) antiques shop - Fern Avenue Antiques Centre.

They’ve got loads of gems to have a look at. Plus Seppi + Claire had a go at pottery painting so they’ll fill you full of confidence!

If you arrive late this will reduce the amount of time you have to paint so you may need to choose a more simple design.

At the end of your session we’ll give you a VIP receipt, you MUST take a photo of this on your phone as you will need it to collect your finished piece(s).


After your session:

 

COLLECTING YOUR POTTERY:

Once your pottery is ready, we’ll send you a text letting you know (approx 3-5 weeks later. You have 1 month to collect your pots from receiving this text. It’s super important you remember to collect your pots within this 1 month window as we simply do not have the space to hold on to your pots for any longer.

Please, please, please make sure you have your ticket number to hand (found on your VIP ticket), it’ll be something like P-42. You can send this to anyone who you want to collect your pieces. Without this ticket we won’t be able to find your pieces as they’re wrapped and packed up in a nondescript paper bag.
