Choose one of our painting or making experience thats perfect for your group.

We’ve written guides for how to plan the perfect children’s party and hen party which you can read on our blog.

Painting Experiences

When you arrive we will guide you through the process of creating your masterpiece. We’ll show you bundles of inspiration, plus tips and tricks on design and colour. We will be close by to answer any questions whilst you catch up, unwind, and create.

Pottery is glazed and fired after your session, ready to collect approximately 3-5 weeks later or can be posted. We can arrange delivery from just £2-6 per person if you send it to one address or £6pp+ to separate addresses.

If you’re a group of 7 or less and do not want a package, you can just use our ordinary painting booking form and select a table that will fit your group. If you’re a booking of 8 or more, or want a package please use the form below. If you are wanting to come on a weekend for large groups for painting you usually have to book 2-3 months in advance and for making around 4.5 months in advance, on weekdays sometimes you can get away with a couple weeks in advance, but we advise booking as early as possible.

Our studio can comfortably sit up to 36 people across two floors with 18 people on each level.

During this experience you’ll enjoy a detailed demonstration by one of our experienced potters, who will be happy to answer any questions you have, then support and guide you through the process of making your own pieces.

Please note…

Please note a £10pp deposit is to be paid when we confirm your booking. For all experiences except ‘Free for all!’ an invoice will be sent requesting full payment 1 month before your booking. If your booking is within the next month full payment is required immediately on booking.

If you need to cancel or change the date of your booking, we require 48 hrs notice. If you do not provide 48hrs notice we will not be able to offer to reschedule or refund your session. If you simply need to amend the numbers attending, providing you give 24hrs notice we will refund you for anyone who can no longer attend - pottery painting only. For all making sessions (including ‘throwing + painting’) we need 48 hrs notice for amending numbers or cancelling the session.

We suggest the organiser collects payments from the other attendees in advance, especially for the “Free for all” session as the deposit will be taken off each individuals bill at the end of the session. Read our detailed T+C’s.

Glazing and firing your pottery:

We try our best to ensure that every aspect of the creative journey you take with us is fun and enjoyable. The final part of this journey involves the glazing and firing of your pottery up to temperatures in excess of 1000˚C. This process is carried out onsite by our studio assistants who treat each piece with the greatest love, care and attention.

We strive for perfection with every piece, however the kiln gods are not always on our side.

Handmade pieces: please be aware that sometimes items can crack or at worst explode in the kiln.  If you have lost your pot in the kiln in this way we will offer you a spare as a replacement.

Painted ready made pieces: Occasionally glaze spotting can occur, as well as surface imperfections such as tiny bumps caused by brick dust flying around the kiln as it heats up, this dust can settle on items as the kiln temperature cools. If we feel it is safe to do so, we will try to fix glazing issues by re-firing the pottery. In the exceptional event of a piece of painted ready-made pottery cracking in the kiln we will offer compensation by way of a replacement voucher.

We hope you understand that we do everything we can to try and prevent such things, however it is not always possible. The unpredictable element can be both the charm and frustration of ceramics.
