Join us for our first workshop of 2021 at Boiler Shop in central Newcastle.
Try your hand at making a medium pot or bottle vase from slabs of clay*
Spend up to 1.5hrs with us making with smooth, cool slabs of clay, which you can transform into what can only be described as the coolest home accessory you’ll ever own. We’ll have all the tips, tricks and tools you’ll need to make a small plant pot or one of our infamous boob pots! After all, what home is complete without a pair of boobs on the mantelpiece. A guaranteed conversation starter, perfect for plants , pencils or a simply titillating sculpture.
£18pp | Session times: 10-11:30am / 12-1:30pm / 2-3:30pm | max. 10 spaces available for each session.
We’re expecting it to be a super popular workshop, so please use the form at the bottom of this page to reserve your place. You must book for a specific time slot + arrive on time. If there is a queue outside Boiler shop, your workshop ticket will allow you to queue jump.
£18pp includes all materials + tuition | Your pot will be glazed + ready to collect 6-10 weeks later - you must collect within this window - forgotten pots will be donated to a good cause | Payment must be made in advance - there’s a strict 5 day cancellation policy | Please note this workshop does not involve using the potters wheel.
7 days before the workshop we’ll send you a demonstration video which you should watch carefully before attending to give you the best chance of creating gorge pots. We’ll be on hand to help on the day, but watching the demonstration before means you have more time for making! We’ll send you loads of inspiration too.

Please note you will also need to purchase a separate ticket to enter the market - tickets are the bargain price of £2pp. Tickets can be purchased in advance or on the door. This £2 ticket grants you access to visit the stalls of 60 of the best northern makers, artists, creative business and food vendors. You will be able to enjoy a drink from the BOILER SHOP's bar while viewing the incredible work of local potters, textiles artists, jewelers, soap makers, and so many other northern creatives.
